On the RoastPATH Portal, review the Profile you wish to export or print. Click the Profile in the Profiles List, use the filter and sort features of Profiles list if needed. Click the More Actions button in the upper right corner of the screen and select Download .rpath or Print your profile.
Profiles are downloaded as an .rpath file. This export format supports a variety of uses. This file can be shared with a friend, who can then import this profile into their Path Library. Your friend can then use the roast curve from your imported profile as a Roast Reference underlay to follow while roasting. For example, you may have an excellent profile for a honey processed green from Costa Rica. You may share your .rpath file with a friend who has never roasted a Costa Rica Honey as a way to help them get started.
Additionally, the RoastPATH Roasting App now allows for an .rpath file to be directly loaded into the app, to be used as a Roast Reference underlay. Simply double click on the file. The RoastPATH Roasting App will launch with a banner at the top of the application to notify you a roast reference was sent to the app. Clicking Continue will load the reference directly from your computer. This can be very helpful during an internet outage if you cannot connect to the RoastPATH servers and need to temporarily work offline.
NOTE: Using an .rpath file loaded directly from your computer means you are not referencing a roast reference underlay on the RoastPATH servers. When a roast Profile is recorded using a local file as a roast reference, you will lose the ability to review the roast and see how closely you followed the roast underlay.
